It is going to Republican triggered mass layoff shifting to public jobs while Main St is not recovered from high unemployment yet. Govt layoffs are Republican's best weapon to remove Obama. You must blame Democrats because they can't equalize the Republicans. Who can blame Repub? Not you, because you help them into power. You agreed to whatever they can do and they don't have to ask you again. Obama's fall is your setup to yourselves. Playing good guy/bad guy is the best election/money hack.

1. Americans like to blame China's cheap labor for the deficit, and this has grown into blaming china for unemployment in the US.

2. No. The US Govt. will say alot, but they will do little. Ultimately the power is in the average person, the consumer. Pay a little more for something NOT produced in China, it will make a difference (and the product will last longer!)

3. No, not sincerely. They too say things to appease the Americans but they could care less, since cheap exports is what fuels their current prosperity.

4. No, this was mostly a political move. Increasing the value of the RMB by 2 US cents has not made a difference in the massive purchasing of the thrifty US population.

5. Yes, STOP BUYING FROM THEM! Also remember that if the deficit is due to Us investments in China, then in the long run the profits from the investments will help lower the deficit.

Currency refers to paper money not coins.

The one hundred-dollar bill has Benjamin Franklin on it. He was known to be a U.S. statesman, inventor, and diplomat but never president.

Hamilton is the other non president on the ten dollar bill. He was an Army officer, lawyer, Founding Father, American politician, leading statesman, financier and political theorist.

China and Japan have weak currencies due to enormous economic growth but easy money policies. This means Chinese and Japanese investors cannot make the same returns on their money by investing in their own securities as they can by investing in a nation with a more stabler currency.

Nations like China and Japan must rely on exports that are sold in other nations' currencies and can be converted back into yen and yuan to get higher and better profits.

The U.S. has a much lower inflation rate and economic growth is heavily controlled. Inflation is much slower in the U.S. When inflation is faster in Japan and China, the U.S. dollar can buy more yen and yuan. In this way, Chinese and Japanese investors buy more American debt because they are betting on the further erosion of their own securities, thus guaranteeing a greater return on their investments.
